How Do I Bid On Items In The Auction?


To bid with us you will need to register your details in advance of the auction. This can be done at reception where we will give you a paddle number to bid with. When you wish to bid on a lot, simply raise your paddle and catch the auctioneer’s attention.

We charge a £1 fee at each auction for our printed copy of the catalogue with your paddle number to the reverse.

Once our catalogue is uploaded on a Friday afternoon you can register to bid online via our website. To do this  go to the subheading 'Catalogues' and clicking ' Register For Auction'. You can also bid online live by clicking the button just underneath that labelled ' Click to bid live'.  Alternatively you can go to easyliveauction.com click on 'Auctions' within the header and then click on 'Cardiff City Auctions' on the left hand side bar and view our catalogue and register to bid there.

We accept commission bids in advance of the auction over the phone, via email or in person at reception. Simply state the maximum price you would like to pay for a lot, we will bid on your behalf whilst taking any set reserve price and other bids into account. You will need to have registered as a buyer with us prior to being able to leave a commission bid.

We accept payment by cash, debit cards and bank transfer.  Items may not be collected until payment in full is made. All purchased lots must be paid for and collected no later than 5pm on the Monday following the auction. We do not offer a shipping service and recommend www.mailboxes.co.uk

 

How Do I Sell Items With You?


Simply bring the items in to us, we will register you on our system then provide you with a receipt for the items you have left for auction. We accept items for auction Monday - Thursday between 10am and 4pm items are normally put into the following weekends auctions. 

Alternatively if you are seeking a valuation first, or the items are too large to bring in to us, please call us on 02920465377 or drop us an email at cardiffcityauctions@gmail.com with photographs of the items and we will do our best to advise you of the best course of action.

We charge a 15% commission on the hammer price of any sold lots. Seller payments are processed from 14 days after the auction subject to us receiving cleared funds. We pay out by cash or by bank transfer.  Any lots you have entered into the sale but have not sold, must be collected upon instruction from us.
