Royal Navy WW2 medals and ephemera relating to Acting Stoker C Ward - Petty Officer - KX 76230(DEV.B. 16880) Medals - The 1939/1945 star, The Atlantic Star, The Africa Star, The Burma Star, The War Medal, Royal Fleet Reserve Medal and Royal Navy General Service Medal (George VI) with Palestine 1936/1939 clasp compliment slip, 2 rosettes, ID tags and photograph album.

The photo album contains photos of HMS Lowestoft, a cruiser on her trip down to Cape Town 1926-1929. She was broken up in the 1930's. A superb photo of him in uniform, his cap showing HM Submarine. An official naval message (Aerograph) to General 6 RNCD. The message reads "Immediate commence hostilities at once against Germany) (1120) date 3/9/39. Signed by a number of crew (probably having read it) including Charles Ward. Excellent family photograph showing him in uniform with 3 stripes up (Petty Officer) date 1947. Xmas and New Year greeting card witih picture of HMS Victorious, aircraft crrier signed on the front "from Charlie". I believe his papers have not yet been released. A nice piece of history
